Summer Events in Utah County

Here’s our list of just a few of the events happening in or around Utah County this summer! Whether you’re looking for a fun date night, farmer’s market produce, or a family-friendly activity, there’s something for everyone! 

PONY EXPRESS DAYS (EAGLE MOUNTAIN) 

Location: Eagle Mountain

• Carnival: May 28-31
  • Location: Cory Wride Memorial Park
  • Time: 12pm - 11pm 
  • Events: Carnival rides, boutique vendors, food trucks, and a concert in the park
    • Demolition Derby: June 6-8
      • Location: Pony Express Memorial Arena
      • Time: 7pm 
    • PCRA Rodeo: June 12-14
      • Location: Pony Express Memorial Arena
      • Time: Rodeo starts at 7pm 
      • Events: Barrel Racing, bull riding, royalty, etc. 
    • Other Events: 
      • Family fun night, parade

OREMFEST (June 2-7) 

• Location: Orem
• Events: Carshow, pool party, concerts, carnival, sports tournaments, fitness classes, talent show, pancake breakfast, yoga in the park, baby contest, parade, and fireworks

VINEYARD DAYS (June 3-7) 

• Location: Vineyard
• Events: Yard games, sports tournaments, yoga at the beach, trivia night, heritage day, bingo, block party, free food, drone show, firework show, candy cannon, children’s market, battle of the bands, concerts, etc. 
  • Movie in the Park (June 2) 
    • Location: Grove Park
    • Time: Dusk
    • Movie: “Space Jam”

FORK FEST (June 6-7) 

• Location: Art Dye Park, 1200 N 550 E St. American Fork 
• Events: 
• 2 days of music acts with 32 bands across 3 stages
• Festival vendors, food trucks, art installations, hammock hangout and more

FREE FISHING DAY (June 7) 

• This is the one day of the year that everyone can fish in Utah without a fishing permit. All other state rules and regulations apply. Anyone under the age of 12 can fish at any time without a permit. 

ART CITY DAYS (June 7-14) 

• Location: Springville
• Events: Carnival, parades, balloon festival, entertainment, duct tape regatta, carshow, 5k color run, fun-a-rama, fireman’s breakfast, dignitaries, contests, sports tournaments, and more! 
  • Rodeo (June 7) : 
    • Location: Art City Hometown Rodeo Arena
      • 767 W 1600 S 
    •  Time: 6:30pm 
    • Price: General Admission ($11), 3 and under (free) 
  • Movie In the Park 
    • Location: Civic Center Park (50 S Main St) 
    • Time: Dusk, around 9pm 
    • Movie to be announced

STRAWBERRY DAYS (June 14-22)

• Location: Pleasant Grove 
• Events: Car show, carnival, chalk the block, festival, berries n’ cream, dirt dance, fireman breakfast, parade, concerts, pancake breakfast, pie eating contest, free family swim, sports, and more! See website for full calendar of events. 
  • PCRA Rodeo: June 18-21
    • Location: 485 W 220 S St, Pleasant Grove, UT 84602
    • Longest continually running rodeo in Utah!

FREE NATIONAL PARK ENTRY (June 19 & August 4) 

• You can enter any of Utah’s five National Parks for free on June 19th for Juneteenth National Independence Day and August 4th for the Anniversary of the Great American Outdoors Act. There are also a few free park entry days in the fall on September 27th for National Public Lands Day and November 11th for Veterans Day. 

LEHI ROUND UP (June 23-28)

• Location: Lehi City 
• Events: Sports tournaments, Miss Lehi, Arts in the Park, half-priced swim, concerts, food trucks, comedy shows, parades, breakfasts, family fun day, dirt dance, and more!
  • Outdoor Movie (June 24) 
    • Location: Family Park Amphitheater
    • Time: 9pm 
    • Movie: “Up” 
  • Rodeo: (June 25-28)  
    • Location: Lehi Rodeo Grounds
    • Tickets: $8-18

COLONIAL FEST (July 3-5) 

• Location: Scera Park (600 S State St Orem, 84058
• Events: Visit the village apothecary shop, blacksmith, cooper, broom maker, gunsmith, spoon maker, potter, chandler, baker, print shop, chocolate making, and more. Learn about daily colonial life and how to play games of that time period.  

STADIUM OF FIRE (July 4) 

• Location: LaVell Edwards Stadium
• Details: Rascal Flatts is head-lining at this year’s performance. Before the show there will be a F-35 jet flyover from Hill Airforce Base, and after you can enjoy the nation’s biggest stadium firework and drone show.

AMERICAN FORK STEEL DAYS (July 12 - 19) 

• Location: American Fork 
• Events: Car show, fair, drone show, art show, home run derby, Mario Kart tournament, concerts, sports tournaments, free fitness classes, adopt-a-duck race, carnival, American Fork’s Got Talent, movie in the park, grand parade, fireworks, and more!  

UTAH COUNTY WATER LANTERN FESTIVAL (July 19) 

• Location: Knoll Park (150 W 300 S, Salem, UT 84653)
• Time: Gates open at 6:00pm. Lantern launch is from 9-10pm. 
• Price: $37.99 for adults, free for children under 8. See website for deals and more options. 

SPANISH FORK FIESTA DAYS (July 19-24) 

• Location: Spanish Fork 
• Events: Car show, children’s parade, community theater, food in the park, craft fair, street dance, carnival, Spanish Fork’s Got Talent, Parade, craft fair, rodeo, fireworks
  • Rodeo (July 19-24) 
    • Location: Spanish Fork Fairgrounds Arena
    • Time: 7:30pm 
    • Tickets: $10+

LINDON DAYS (July 27 - August 2) 

• Location: Lindon
• Events: Concert in the park, car show, food vendors, bingo, ice cream social, night out against crime, fishing, farmers market, star party, candy scramble, dirt dance, video game tournament, grand parade, free swim, fireworks, and more! 
  • Movie in the park (July 29) 
    • Location: Pioneer Park (150 S 500 E) 
    • Time: Dusk
    • Movie: Sonic 3

SANTAQUIN ORCHARD DAYS (July 26th - August 2) 

• Location: Santaquin
• Events: Little Buck-a-Roo Rodeo, family fun night, sports tournament, magic show, grand parade, crafts, etc!

UTAH COUNTY FAIR (July 30 - August 2) 

• Location: Spanish Fork Fairgrounds (475 S Main, Spanish Fork UT)
• Events: Kids inflatables, games, pony rides, petting zoo, LEGO display, food booths, car show, antique tractor pull, and more! 
  • Western Night Rodeo  (July 31) 
    • Time: 7:00PM
    • Bareback riding, roping, mutton bustin, saddle bronc, bull riding, barrel racing
    • Tickets: FREE
  • Monster Trucks (August 1) 
    • Time: 7:00PM
    • Tickets: Sales start June 2

HIGHLAND FLING (July 31 - August 2) 

• Location: Highland
• Events: Car show, fine art show, 5k race, sports tournament, kids night, play day rodeo, strong man competition, grand parade, firework show

SALEM DAYS (August 1-9)

• Location: Salem
• Events: Fair in the square, duct tape regatta, parade, fireworks, sports tournament, tractor pull, etc.

PAYSON ONION DAYS (August 28 - September 1)

• Location: Payson
• Events: Concerts, carnivals, baby contest, car show, flower show, parade, food and merchandise vendors, fireworks

WEEKLY/MONTHLY EVENTS:

  • Events: Family-friendly activities that vary each Monday night! 
• “Sounds of Summer”- Movies in the Park 
  • Location: Spanish Fork City Park (49 S Main St, Spanish Fork, UT 84660)
  • Events: Each Friday in June and July there will be activities starting at 6PM and a movie at dusk.

• Provo Art Stroll 
  • Location: Downtown Provo
  • Details: On the first Friday of each month the Provo Art Galleries stay open late until 9:00pm. Refreshments and live music is often provided.
